Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, I’ve always understood the power of perseverance, resilience, and community. After spending 27 years in the corporate world, navigating its complexities, and building a wealth of experience, I transitioned into higher education, driven by a desire to give back and create meaningful impact in an environment that fosters growth and learning.
As a scholar and researcher, my dissertation centers on the success factors and barriers Black American men face in the U.S. tech industry—an area deeply connected to my background and expertise. By shedding light on these experiences, we can work toward more significant equity, access, and representation in one of the most influential sectors shaping our future. I aim to explore these dynamics and use my voice, knowledge, and platform to empower others and drive change.
Through education, mentorship, and advocacy, I strive to contribute to a more inclusive professional landscape where talent is recognized, supported, and celebrated.
